Evaluation of Learning in CbSL Curriculum
Presented by Karen Larimer (School of Nursing)

CbSL is used in disciplines ranging from the sciences to the arts.  While  promoted at many institutions, it is still necessary to evaluate efficacy in achieving course objectives.  CbSL is employed at DePaul's MENP Program throughout the curriculum.  While it is believed that CbSL deepens learning, researchers asked:  does it improve learning in various learning domains? After receiving DPU’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Grant, we set out to develop an instrument to assess learning.  Sharing these preliminary results will inform the curriculum in the MENP Program  and be a basis for broader application.
